What to do if a students returns a positive test over the weekend

Kia ora koutou. Thank you all for your support as we manage the increasing spread of the Omicron variant and try to keep everyone safe. We appreciate what you are all doing to ensure that sick children stay at home and get tested.

To ensure we can communicate to our families in a reasonable timeframe we ask that all families notify us if their child returns a positive PCR (Nasal swab) Covid test over the weekend. Please email the following information to

  • Name of child and classroom.

  • A screenshot of the positive test result text message (for confirmation).

  • Date of onset of symptoms.

  • Last day of attendance (this will save us a step).

This information will be treated in the strictest confidence and no personal information or details will be passed on.

Emails will be checked before 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Notification during the weekdays can happen by phone or email message.
