Well, here we are for Day One of 2022. Yes, we are at the Red Setting on the Covid Protection Framework and we have been busy connecting and catching up with friends we have seen recently... and maybe some we have not see for a while! All the time wearing masks in Yrs 4-6 inside and having as many doors and windows open as we could manage (plus it being a wet day!).
At the moment the Board and I are planning in more detail our risk assessment and continuity planning for when the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 virus hits us more locally in our community. In this situation many will be sick, isolating or recovering as we look to slow the spread and manage the outbreak. We will be looking to stay open if possible but have a 'hybrid' learning model where students can also learn from home if impacted by the spread. We will only close for on site learning if we have too many staff away to manage safely. There will be more on this soon.
In the meantime, enjoy a quick snapshot of our first day back. :-)
