Kōrero ō te Tumuaki Week 3

Writer: John O'ReganJohn O'Regan

Kia ora koutou ngā hoa ō Te kura Enner Glynn,

Thank you to all those who came to our whanau picnic. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the sunshine (and shade) and getting to know each other. I really enjoed meeting so many of you. I apologise if I didn't get to meet you, please feel free to introduce yourself if you see me around.

Today is a bit of a sad one for our school in that we are losing two of our staff members. Tenielle has been at Enner Glynn since 2016 and has been such a big part of our community, being to first person so many of you meet when you come into the office. Tenielle always greets everyone with a warm smile and ensures people feel welcome in our kura. We wish Tenielle all the best for her new role at Salisbury School.

We are excited to announce that Emma Goble will take up a role in the office space for the next few months. Emma will be both office administrator and sports coordinator.

We also say goodbye today to Peter, our caretaker. While Peter has only been with us for a short time, he has made his mark in the school by ensuring things always run smoothly and look neat and tidy. I know that people have commented that the pool is always in pristine condition.

Peter is taking up a new role at Brightwater Joinery. We will be advertising for a new caretaker shortly.

Kia pai tō rā whakatā, have a good weekend,

John
