Enrolment Process

Whether you are in zone or out of zone, we encourage you to make an appointment with John O'Regan our school tumuaki/principal, this gives you an opportunity to look around and find out more information about our wonderful school. If you would like to make an appointment, you can contact us by phone at 547 7480 or via email at admin@ennerglynn.school.nz

New Entrant Enrolments

Once your enrolment has been accepted, we will put your child's name into our pre-enrolment register and closer to their fifth birthday, we will contact you to organise school visits and discuss the enrolment process.

School Visits and Start Date

We structure our school visits and start date like a cohort entry school, which means children start school in small groups at set times during the year rather than on their individual fifth birthdays. The children in your child’s cohort will have their school visits together, start on the same day, and be in the same classroom. Beginning school alongside a familiar group of peers helps build friendships early and supports a smooth and positive transition to school life.

Your child will have three scheduled school visits leading up to their start date, which will either be at the beginning of the new term, or the middle of the term, which is dependant on when your child turns five.

Please follow this link for the school visit dates for 2026.

Our New Entrant teachers have created a PowerPoint presentation titled Te Rito Powerpoint, which contains helpful information about the New Entrant area and starting school at Enner Glynn School. We encourage you to view this together with your child.
