Nga mihi ki a koutou.
Today is just a short message thanking you all for the support over the term and providing some information. With the school holidays coming up at the end of this week, we wish all of the students a restful break. :-)
Seesaw Samples
Most of you are checking in with Seesaw and hearing about what your children have been learning. In case you have not, please do get in there and have a look and comment on what is happening. We would like to keep you informed of learning, progress and achievement and this is one of the tools at our disposal. Here is some of the data demonstrating your engagement with Seesaw over the year.
'The Code' in Te Ara
Over the term I have explained to you about some of the explicit teaching and structured approaches happening in literacy at EGS. The Code is one of those tools we are using to teach spelling across Years 3-6. Below, our Te Ara team teachers (Yrs 3/4) have shared a video with whanau explaining this approach. Please have a look and feel free to direct any questions to the teachers.
Matariki Celebration
Last Thursday we had a special Matariki celebration as a school. We would like to thank all of the whanau who could support us on the day and recognise many of you couldn't be there to celebrate with us. If you have not seen the video below, it is for you as a way of joining in and sharing our fun and activities. We hope you enjoy it.
Once again, thank you for a fabulous Term and we look forward to seeing everyone back and rested on Monday 22nd July.
