Principal Update: Week 8, Term 4

Kia ora koutou Enner Glynn whanau,

Welcome to Week 8’s blog. This will be my final blog for the year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank a number of people for their support and mahi over this year.

Board of Trustees

It has been a privilege working with such an amazing group of people, in their governance capacity. To Lisa, Holly, Belinda, Mitchell, Saul, Leallen and Tenielle, thank you for your hard work and mahi over the year. I would especially like to acknowledge Lisa as our presiding member. Lisa has been an incredible support in so many ways in a year that has had many challenges as well as highlights. I would also like to thank Saul, who will be finishing his role on the board for his support over the past few years. We welcome Eva Lawrence as our newest board member who will replace Saul.

Staff

To our wonderful staff. My thanks for all of your hard work over this year. We have welcomed new staff, had changes within our staff, and have grieved for a beloved staff member together. Your collegiality and support of each other as well as all your hard mahi for our students is something that is very special and I truly appreciate everything you have done.

Our parent community

On behalf of all our staff, I would like to thank you for sharing your children with us! They are the reason we are here and they are a joy to work with. Thank you to those who have supported us over this year with classroom trips, and various activities. It is great to have this support which allows us to provide a wider variety of opportunities for our students.

FOS

It has been fabulous to have our FoS group reform. My thanks to each of you for your mahi and support with fundraising and building our wider school community.

Our leaving parents

For some of our families this will be the last year you will be involved with Enner Glynn School. Whilst this is a sad time for us to be saying goodbye, it is also exciting to see your children growing and moving on to new challenges. We wish you all the best for yourselves and your children.

2024

Next year Mr Day will be back with us. It will be fabulous to have him here with us again amongst. Finally, It has been a privilege for me to work with you all in my capacity as acting principal this year,

I hope you all have a relaxing and restful summer break!

Take care

Jillian
