Cross Country Run 2015

Mr Day

I would like to thank everyone who came along to our annual school cross country event held today at Greenmeadows park. The day was made spectacular not just due to the amazing weather that we were treated to.

More than the weather, we were treated to seeing our amazing kids giving things a go. The ones who enjoy running ran well and competed hard. Those who are less inclined to run gave it a go and we cheered just as hard for them as they took on the course. I am always proud of our students and that was reinforced today with how well they encourage each other and how hard they tried. Our children are special to all of us and are a real credit to our community.

To Rachel, Fiona and the FOS team, the cafe was awesome! You guys are brilliant and help us out enormously... special thanks for the cup of tea and cake - your timing was perfect!

I would also like to thank Mrs Hancock, Tom and all of the helpers and volunteers for working hard to set up/pack up, marshalling and all of the other preparation that goes into organising the event and running it on the day. This made the day even better! Thanks also to the staff for their support of the event and in some cases, running with the children!

To the mums, dads, nannas, grandads, and all of the others who came to support, thanks for making the time and supporting the students as they ran. It is awesome to see you all there supporting the kids! We all love it.

Once again, Mr Hands - you are a legend! :-)

Finally thanks to Archie and Patrick for taking the video... unfortunately we ran out of battery before we got to the 11 year old race. :-(

Well done everyone - and thanks for contributing today.
